# Pause or cancel a campaign

> Stop a campaign that's sending, for a while or for good.

## Pause it

1. Open the campaign while it's sending and click **Pause**.
2. Click **Pause** again to confirm.

No more messages go out; the page says **Paused. Resume to send to the rest.**
To carry on, click **Resume**, then **Send it**.

## Cancel it

1. Open the campaign and click **Cancel campaign**.
2. Click **Cancel campaign** again to confirm.

The rest of the messages are never sent. Messages already sent stay delivered;
you can't take them back. A cancelled campaign can't be restarted, but you can
create a new one.

## If Soosh paused it

A campaign can pause by itself when the workspace reaches its monthly limit of
broadcast messages. The campaign page says so, and when you can resume. The
**Campaigns** page shows how many you've used this month.
