## Before you start

- A role that can export contacts. Owners, admins and managers can.

## Export them

1. Go to [**Contacts**](https://app.soosh.io/contacts). Optional: search, or filter by tag, to export only those
   contacts.
2. Click **Export**.
3. Tick the columns you want. **Phone number**, **Name** and **Tags** are
   ticked already.
4. Click **Export CSV**.

## Result

The file `contacts_export_` with today's date downloads. It opens in Excel and
Google Sheets, and you can import it back as it is.

If your workspace [hides customers' phone numbers](https://docs.soosh.io/guides/workspace/hide-customers-phone-numbers/),
they're hidden in the file too, so it can't be imported back: an import needs
the full numbers.
