# Change a member's role

> Give a teammate a different role, or remove them from your workspace.

## Before you start

- Owner or admin role in Soosh. Only the owner can give or take away the
  **Admin** role, or any role that manages billing.

## Change the role

1. Go to [**Settings > Members**](https://app.soosh.io/settings/members) and click the member.
2. In **Role**, choose the new role.
3. Click **Save**.

You can't change your own role, or the owner's.

## Remove a member

1. Go to [**Settings > Members**](https://app.soosh.io/settings/members) and click the member.
2. Click **Remove member**, then **Remove**.

They lose access to this workspace straight away. Their account itself isn't
deleted, so they keep access to any other workspaces they belong to.
