# Transfer ownership of the workspace

> Hand the workspace, with its billing and admin rights, to another member.

## Before you start

- You're the workspace owner
- The new owner is an active member who has set their password

## Transfer it

1. Go to [**Settings > General**](https://app.soosh.io/settings) and find **Workspace owner**.
2. Click **Transfer ownership**.
3. In **New owner**, choose the member.
4. Enter your password in **Your current password**. If you use two-factor sign-in, enter a code too.
5. Click **Transfer ownership**.

> **Careful:** You can't undo this yourself. Only the new owner can give ownership back.

## Result

Soosh shows **Ownership transferred**. The new owner takes over adding money to the wallet, automatic top-up, the AI
spending limit, and who can be an admin. You stay in the workspace as an
admin.

Only the owner can change the workspace's name.
