# Keyboard shortcuts > Look up every keyboard shortcut in Soosh, grouped by where it works. Source: https://docs.soosh.io/reference/keyboard-shortcuts/ Shortcuts are listed by where you use them. On a Mac, **Ctrl** means **Cmd** and **Alt** means **Option**, unless a table says otherwise. ## Message box These work while the cursor is in the message box of a chat. | Keys | What it does | |---|---| | Enter | Sends the message, or adds a new line. See [Send key](#send-key). | | Shift+Enter | Adds a new line. | | Ctrl+Enter | Sends the message, or adds a new line. See [Send key](#send-key). | | Ctrl+B | Makes the selected text bold. | | Ctrl+I | Makes the selected text italic. | | Ctrl+Shift+X | Strikes through the selected text. | | / at the start of the message | Opens the saved replies list. The text after it searches the list. | | Esc | Closes the saved replies, template or emoji panel. | While you type with an input method, like Hindi, Tamil or Arabic, **Enter** confirms the character. It doesn't send the message. ### Send key Click the keyboard button in the message box to choose **Send messages with**. Soosh remembers the choice in your browser. | Keys | **Enter** (default) | **Ctrl+Enter** (**Cmd+Enter** on Mac) | |---|---|---| | Enter | Sends | New line | | Shift+Enter | New line | New line | | Ctrl+Enter | New line | Sends | ### Saved replies list Opens when you type **/** at the start of the message, or when you click the saved replies button in the message box. | Keys | What it does | |---|---| | ↑ and ↓ | Move through the replies. | | Enter | Inserts the highlighted reply. | | Esc | Closes the list. | ### Templates list Opens when you click the template button in the message box. | Keys | What it does | |---|---| | ↑ and ↓ | Move through the templates. | | Enter | Opens the highlighted template's preview. | | Tab and Shift+Tab | Go to the next or previous type of template. Only when more than one type has templates. | | Esc | Closes the list. | ### Emoji panel | Keys | What it does | |---|---| | Enter in the search box | Inserts the first emoji found. | | Esc | Closes the panel. | ### Filling in a saved reply or template | Keys | What it does | |---|---| | Enter in a blank | Moves to the next empty blank. When every blank is filled, sends the message. | ### Reply suggestions and rewrite | Keys | What it does | |---|---| | Tab | Uses the suggested draft on show. | | ↑ and ↓ | Show the other suggested drafts. | | Esc | Dismisses the suggestions, or hides the note after a rewrite. | | Ctrl+Z straight after a rewrite | Puts your original draft back. | ## Chat panels | Where | Keys | What it does | |---|---|---| | Notes | **Enter** | Adds the note. | | Notes | **Shift+Enter** | Adds a new line. | | Notes, while editing a note | **Ctrl+Enter** | Saves the change. | | Customer memory, while editing | **Enter** | Saves the change. | | Customer memory, while editing | **Esc** | Cancels the change. | | Chat side panel, when it covers the chat | **Esc** | Closes the panel. Doesn't work while a dialog is open. | ## Voice notes and media | Where | Keys | What it does | |---|---|---| | Voice note player | **←** and **→** | Go back or forward 5 seconds. | | Voice note player | **Space** or **Enter** | Plays or pauses. | | Photo and video viewer | **←** and **→** | Show the previous or next item. | | Photo and video viewer | **Esc** | Closes the viewer. | ## Calls These work in the call popup. A letter on its own works only when you aren't typing in a field. Hold **Alt** and it works from anywhere, even in the middle of a message. **Shift**, **Ctrl** and **Cmd** with a letter do nothing. | Keys | When | What it does | |---|---|---| | A | A call is ringing | **Accept**. Doesn't work if you're already on a call in another tab. | | D | A call is ringing | **Decline**. | | M | On a call | **Mute** or **Unmute**. | | H | On a call that's connected | **Hold** or **Resume**. | | Alt+E | On a call | **Hang up**. Always needs **Alt**. Doesn't work while the call is on hold. | | Enter in Note for the team | After a call | Saves the note. **Shift+Enter** adds a new line. | | Enter in the purpose box | Before an outgoing call | Starts the call with the purpose you typed. | On a Mac, **Alt** is **Option**. ## Everywhere | Keys | What it does | |---|---| | Ctrl+K | Opens or closes **Search…**, where you can search pages, settings and actions. | | ↑ and ↓ in Search… | Move through the results. | | Enter in Search… | Opens the highlighted result. | | Esc in Search… | Closes it. | | Tab, the first time on a page | Shows **Skip to main content**. Press **Enter** to jump past the menu. | | Esc | Closes the open dialog or side sheet. | ### Search boxes | Keys | What it does | |---|---| | / | Moves the cursor to the search box on the page. Works on pages with a search box, like [**Contacts**](https://app.soosh.io/contacts), [**Campaigns**](https://app.soosh.io/campaigns) and [**Inbox > Saved replies**](https://app.soosh.io/saved-replies). Doesn't work while you're typing in a field or while a dialog is open. Doesn't work in the chat list. | | Esc in a search box | Clears the search. When it's already empty, leaves the box. | | Enter in Search settings | Opens the first result. | | Esc in Search settings | Clears the search. | ### Lists | Keys | What it does | |---|---| | Ctrl+click a row in a table | Opens the row in a new browser tab, on tables where a row opens a page. | ## Flow builders These work on the canvas of the bot flow builder and the call menu (IVR) builder. | Keys | What it does | |---|---| | Backspace or Delete | Removes the selected block or connection.
