Import contacts

Add many contacts at once from Excel, CSV, Google Contacts or your phone's contacts.

  • A role that can import contacts. Owners, admins and managers can.
  • The list as an Excel (.xlsx), CSV or contacts (.vcf) file, up to 20 MB, with a column of phone numbers. Any column names and order work.
  1. Go to Contacts and click Import. Or drop the file anywhere on the page.

  2. Drop the file in the box, or click it to choose one. To paste numbers instead, choose Paste a list.

  3. Check Match your columns: the Phone number, Name and Tags columns. Soosh guesses them; change any it guessed wrong.

  4. If some numbers have no country code, enter it under Country code for numbers without one, like 91.

  5. Optional: in Tag everyone in this import, enter a tag, like Diwali fair, to find this list later or send it a campaign.

  6. Click Import … contacts, and keep the window open until it finishes.

Not sure how to lay out the file? Click Download a sample file first.

The window says how many contacts were Added and Updated. Contacts you already had are never duplicated: their name is filled in and tags added, and nothing is removed. To leave them as they are, turn off Update contacts you already have before importing.

Rows that couldn’t be read are listed under Show skipped rows, with the problem, like No country code or Shortened by Excel. Click Download rows to fix to correct them and import them again.
