Use reply suggestions

Let the AI draft a reply to the chat, then check it, change it and send it.

Before you start

Section titled “Before you start”
  • Reply suggestions turned on for your workspace. If you don’t see the sparkles button in the message box, ask your admin.

Get a suggestion

Section titled “Get a suggestion”
  1. Open the chat, with the message box empty.
  2. Click Suggest a reply (the sparkles button) in the message box. It says Writing a suggestion… for a moment.
  3. Read the draft, shown in grey in the message box. Press ↓ or ↑ to see the others; there can be up to 3.
  4. Press Tab, or click Use, to put the draft in the message box.
  5. Change anything you need, then press Enter to send it.

Result

Your edited reply is sent like any other. To throw the draft away, press Esc or click Dismiss suggestion; typing also clears it.

If it says Couldn’t write suggestions. Try again., wait a moment and try again. Other messages explain what’s wrong, like the workspace reaching its monthly AI limit.
