Connect a WhatsApp number

Before you start

• Owner or admin role in Soosh
• A Facebook account that manages your business on Meta, or that can create one
• The phone with the number, nearby, to scan a QR code or receive a code by SMS or call

Connect the number

1. Go to Settings > WhatsApp numbers and click Connect with Facebook.
2. Choose how the number is used today:
   • WhatsApp Business app, if it’s on the app on your phone. You can keep using the app; see Connect a number you use in the WhatsApp Business app.
   • A new number, if it isn’t on WhatsApp yet.
3. Click Continue with Facebook. A Facebook window opens. If you can’t see it, look behind the Soosh window or allow pop-ups.
4. In the Facebook window, sign in and follow Meta’s steps: choose your business, then your number, and verify it.
5. If your login has several numbers, choose the one for this workspace and click Connect selected number.
6. Wait while Soosh says Setting up your number.
7. When you see You’re connected, click Copy next to the Two-step verification PIN and keep it with your passwords. (Numbers from the WhatsApp Business app don’t get one.)
8. Click Done.

Soosh shows the two-step verification PIN only once. Without it, moving or re-registering the number later is much harder.

Result

The number is listed with a green Connected badge, and new messages to it arrive in Inbox > Chats.

If the badge says Setup needed, click Finish setup to do Meta’s last step. If it says Disconnected, click Reconnect.

To send templates and campaigns, the WhatsApp account also needs a payment method on Meta: use Add a payment method on the You’re connected screen, or add one later in Meta’s WhatsApp Manager.
